Holy smokes, I just learned some really cool facts about sea turtles here at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island. Did you know female loggerheads reach sexual maturity at age 30? (I didn’t!) And they can lay up to six clutches of eggs—though usually more like 3 to 5 clutches—in one season???
