With many of the Sox’ better prospects now on the major-league roster, showing improvement after the break is important for the next step of their rebuild. They completed their first series sweep of the season with a 7-2 victory Sunday over the Pirates.
Luis Robert Jr. homered and drove in two runs, Michael A. Taylor added a bases-clearing double and the Chicago White Sox breezed past the reeling Pittsburgh Pirates 10-1.
The Sox' productive sixth clinched a 10-4 victory against the Pirates for a series win — their first series win after the All-Star break last season came in September. The Sox (34-65) recorded 13 hits on Saturday and have scored 20 runs over a two-game span.
For a couple of days, at least, the Pirates were stars in Atlanta. It was fun while it lasted. Oneil Cruz hitting bombs as only he sometimes can in the
