The United States women’s soccer team defeated Australia 2-1 in the invitational SheBelieves Cup on Sunday, putting themselves in a position for a record eighth title.

The United States beat Australia 2-1 and Japan thumped Colombia 4-1 on Sunday to set up a SheBelieves Cup tournament decider on Wednesday between the two favorites.

While the SheBelieves Cup provides impressive action on the field, it also hopes to inspire the next generation. The U.S. women’s soccer team proved as much on Sunday at State Farm Stadium.
