Vigils and services have been held across the east on the eve of the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Sunday's events included gatherings of Ukrainian refugees and their host families in Norfolk, Suffolk and Buckinghamshire. Fighting has been raging since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022.

In the three years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion, Ukraine has lost swaths of land, managing to regain some thanks to military aid from its Western allies. Millions of Ukrainians have been uprooted with thousands killed or injured.
