The first match of the night got started right away instead of an opening promo segment. Charlotte Flair took on Raquel Rodriguez with Alexa Bliss and Roxanne Perez in their respective corners.

With their Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam coming up in two weeks, current champion John Cena and challenger Cody Rhodes will put pen to paper to make things official tonight on WWE SmackDown. The last time Rhodes and Cena were in the same ring was at last month’s Money in the Bank when Rhodes pinned Cena in a tag team match.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown heads to San Antonio, Texas this week following an exciting show last weekend. This show was originally scheduled for early June. The rescheduled date was announced back in March. This rendition of SmackDown will take place just a few days after AEW’s All In Texas event.
