Adelita Grijalva, daughter of the late Congressman Raúl Grijalva, won Tuesday's Democratic primary in the special election to replace her father, and will advance to this fall’s general election.

Calls for generational change and dissatisfaction with the status quo have been at the center of campaigns by younger candidates. While that has lifted some to victory, others have fallen short.

Deja Foxx had a small watch party at Zerai’s International Bar. She presumably lost by a wide margin to Adelita Grijalva in the primary.
