With nearly every position on the field claimed, the Dodgers are still expected to improve at one key position prior to the trade deadline.

Coming out of the MLB All-Star break having lost seven of their last nine games and dealing with an injury-depleted pitching staff, the Los Angeles Dodgers have their sights set on adding arms prior to trade deadline.

Freeland is a well-regarded prospect with nearly a full season of Triple-A experience to his credit. He would be part of most big-league rosters at this point. The Dodgers, though, don't have a clear role for him, which is why I'm including him here as a dark horse candidate for a team in need of a shortstop.
