Prince Harry has followed in his late mother’s footsteps by wearing a flak jacket and walking down a path in an active land mine field in Angola to raise awareness for a charity’s work clearing explosives from old war zones.

Prince Harry honored his late mother, Princess Diana, by recreating his mother’s famous trek across a minefield in Central Africa. On Wednesday, Harry was photographed in Angola walking through a minefield, which is partially cleared of landmines, just as his mother did 28 years ago.

Prince Harry visited Angola in southern Africa with the HALO Trust organization, the same group Princess Diana worked with 28 years ago.
