A Delta Air Lines flight returned to Atlanta on Monday morning shortly after takeoff when the crew reported "possible smoke" in the aircraft, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, just two days after another Delta flight was diverted due to smoke on the plane.

A Delta plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Monday after passengers observed a “haze” inside the aircraft. Delta Flight DL876 was heading from Atlanta, Georgia to Columbia, South Carolina around 11:20 am on Monday when the incident took place.

The Airbus A350-900 aircraft landed safely and the plane proceeded to an arrival gate, Delta said in a statement to CNN. The 162 passengers on board are being reaccommodated on a different flight.
