Cleveland addressed the position early in the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting former UCLA linebacker Carson Schwesinger with the No. 33 overall pick—a move that signaled JOK wouldn’t be available this season. The team also brought in veteran free agent Jerome Baker and still has Devin Bush and Jordan Hicks in the room.
Those four players are Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Shedeur Sanders, and Dillon Gabriel. Flacco seems to be the front-runner for the Week 1 job with Pickett close behind him. Both Sanders and Gabriel are widely expected to play in 2025.
