A Wisconsin meteorologist was live on the air warning people about a tornado when he realized the storm was headed straight to his mother's house.

A tornado watch has been issued in Kenosha County, with the rest of the Chicago area at a “slight” risk of severe weather on Wednesday.

It's not every day you see one of the most violent tornadoes in recent history and a historic flash flood happen just over 100 miles apart. But that was the case in Wisconsin and Illinois in July 1996.
