A Metra train heading struck a pedestrian near the Main Street Railroad Crossing in Downers Grove Tuesday morning, according to Downers Grove officials.

BNSF train #1228, scheduled to arrive at Chicago's Union Station at 8 a.m. struck a pedestrian near the Main Street Downers Grove station. It marks the second crash in 24 hours in the same area.
