As production continues on Avengers: Doomsday, a new update about the highly anticipated superhero movie has been revealed, regarding its plot details. The fifth installment to the blockbuster franchise is still slated to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, while its follow-up movie Avengers: Secret Wars will debut on December 17, 2027.
The all-new X-Men are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe - and an all-new Tony Stark will (eventually) join them. In a wide-ranging conversation with press on Friday, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige confirmed that,
The reboot will unify the MCU into a singular timeline, allowing Marvel to recast legacy characters like Iron Man and Captain America. Feige compared the process to other iconic franchises: “They’re looking for a new James Bond. David Corenswet is the new Superman, and he’s been incredible. That’s always how it works”.
Kevin Feige has revealed that a Marvel "reset" is in the works – though it's not a full reboot. The news comes ahead of Marvel Phase 6 kicking off in just a few days with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
"As we as we kick off phase six with with 'Fantastic Four,' and as everybody knows it ends with 'Secret Wars,'" Feige said.
