Amid injuries to veterans DiJonai Carrington and Arike Ogunbowale, the Wings have turned over the keys to Paige Bueckers -- and entering Monday night's game against the Phoenix Mercury, Dallas had won five of its past seven games after a 1-11 start to 2025. At PHX Arena on Monday, though, Bueckers and the Wings suffered a setback.

After Wings coach Chris Koclanes finished answering a question about Arike's shooting struggles today, Paige Bueckers chimed in to support her teammate: "It might not have been her night shooting the ball, but the way she continued to stay in the game ... that was huge for me."

Bueckers also drew attention for a casual interview she had with a fan who runs the TikTok account, @wagtalk, during which she appeared to confirm that she was in a relationship with former UConn Huskies teammate Azzi Fudd. "How well do you know your D1 girlfriend?" the fan asked Bueckers. "Are you ready?"
