Major league home run leader Cal Raleigh was rested for the Seattle Mariners' game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. Mitch Garver started at catcher, batting sixth, and Jorge Polanco was Seattle's designated hitter batting fourth.

Raleigh, the league leader in home runs, hadn’t gone yard since July 11. He now sits at 39 on the season after taking Nick Mears deep in the seventh inning. Mears was charged with the loss, while Gilbert and closer Andres Muñoz handled the rest.
