High wind advisory and flood watch issued for Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind advisory and a flood watch for parts of Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington.
NOAA is best known for operating the National Weather Service, but its work stretches from the ocean bed to outer space and supports billion-dollar industries.
On Monday at 5:41 a.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the NWS Fort Worth TX in effect until 10 a.m. The advisory is for Grayson, Denton, Tarrant, Johnson, Bosque and Coryell counties.
A wind advisory was issued by the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA on Friday at 4:41 a.m. in effect until 2 p.m. The advisory is for Ventura County Beaches, Ventura County Inland Coast and Malibu Coast.
On Sunday at 10:12 a.m. the NWS Eureka CA issued a flood watch in effect until 10 p.m. for Coastal Del Norte and Del Norte Interior.
The NWS Raleigh NC issued an updated winter storm warning at 9:49 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until Thursday at 1 p.m. The warning is for Nash, Edgecombe, Wake, Johnston, Wilson, Wayne and Sampson counties.
The NWS Eureka CA issued a wind advisory at 9:35 p.m. on Saturday valid for Sunday between midnight and 7 a.m. The advisory is for Del Norte Interior, Southwestern Humboldt, Northern Humboldt Interior and Southern Humboldt Interior.
According to NWS, an EF-0 tornado was confirmed in Moundville in Hale County, bringing the weather system to five total tornadoes produced. Authorities say a damage survey revealed an EF-0 that occurred early in the morning hours of Sunday,
Just 1.56 inches of rain was measured through Sunday at Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach since Jan. 1.
Downtown Los Angeles was about 14 degrees above normal on Sunday, reaching 82 degrees. Temperatures could climb into the 90s by Wednesday in the coasts and valleys.
