Carlos Alcaraz will be playing for a third consecutive Wimbledon title after the 22-year-old Spaniard beat Taylor Fritz in the semifinal round.
Taylor Fritz’s mom, Kathy, is the great-granddaughter of David May, who founded the May Department Stores—better known today as Macy’s. She was a professional tennis player, reaching a ranking of no. 10 and winning seven titles. She also competed in three Grand Slam quarterfinals—at the U.S. Open in 1978, and the French Open in 1977 and 1978.
Play was stopped twice during the Wimbledon semifinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz because two fans felt unwell in the heat.
