The Seattle Mariners fired the opening salvo of the week leading up to the MLB trade deadline by acquiring Josh Naylor from the Arizona Diamondbacks. They may not be done. Naylor is a great pickup in his own right, an energetic and powerful first baseman who is batting .292 and has 11 homers and 11 steals on the season.

The Mariners remain focused on reuniting with Eugenio Suárez after landing Josh Naylor in a major trade with the Diamondbacks.

The front office deserves credit for another impactful trade deadline addition, but Josh Naylor alone isn't enough. The Mariners must remain aggressive.
