Rising sensation Rachin Ravindra has broken through the shackles to become New Zealand's most successful batter in the ICC ODI events by toppling the record of scoring most centuries for the Blackcaps.

Rachin Ravindra smashed a century against Bangladesh helping New Zealand chase 237 runs in Rawalpindi on Monday (February 24). With this ton, he broke Sachin Tendulkar's long-standing 27-year-old world record.

Rachin Ravindra shepherded New Zealand's chase with a timely century as his team recovered from an early wobble to see off Bangladesh by five wickets and secure its place in the semifinals of the Champions Trophy.

Rachin Ravindra was the star of the show for the Black Caps as New Zealand, like India, are two in two in the ongoing Champions Trophy with wins over Pakistan and now Bangladesh. Ravindra smashed his fourth ton in just 11 innings in ICC ODI events as Bangladesh were found way short in Rawalpindi.
