India plans to strengthen its maritime defence capabilities with a Rs 5,000-crore investment in shipbuilding infrastructure, following Operation Sindoor.

These need to be firewalled from external factors such as the Dalai Lama’s succession and China’s trade and foreign policy initiatives.
