BRISTOL, CT (WFSB) - Guilford won the Little League Softball All-Stars New England Regional game, despite the heat on Friday. The sun was strong and the heat was harsh, but that didn’t stop Guilford from getting the job done. They won 1-0 against Maine. When it comes to the heat, the coaches made sure their players were hydrated.

Maine champion Bonny Eagle scored twice in the sixth inning to sent it to extra innings, then took the lead in the seventh, but couldn’t hang on and lost to Vermont champion Champlain, 4-3, in the New England Little League Softball Regional on Monday in Bristol, Connecticut.

After dropping an extra innings heartbreaker to Vermont last night, the Bonny Eagle little league softball team is still alive at the New England regionals!
