The chief prosecutor in Los Angeles will oppose an attempt by Erik and Lyle Menendez to get a new trial for the murder of their parents, he said Friday.

Dist. Atty. Nathan Hochman said Friday that he'll revisit the issue of resentencing the brothers, who are serving life terms for killing their parents in 1989.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said on Friday, Feb. 21, that his office will oppose a motion by defense attorneys seeking a new trial for Erik and Lyle Menendez, who are serving life in prison without parole for the 1989 shotgun slayings of their parents in Beverly Hills.
