Alabama football players are excited to play under Kalen DeBoer in year two. DeBoer decided to take on a tall task over a year ago when he accepted the head football coaching job at the University of Alabama after Nick Saban retired.

Alabama football will need to replace some production in the pass rush this season. The team’s two leading sack leaders, linebacker Jihaad Campbell and Que Robinson are both off to the NFL.

Speaking Wednesday at SEC Media Days in Atlanta, the second-year Alabama head coach addressed the Crimson Tide’s ongoing quarterback battle, offering early impressions of returning veteran Ty Simpson, as well as young talents Keelon Russell and Austin Mack.
