A dramatic rescue was caught on camera as flood waters from intense storms closed in on a motorist in Union County Monday night. Video posted on X from CBS New York shows two commuter buses, including an NJ Transit bus, caught in flood waters at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Park Avenue in Scotch Plains Monday night.
Parts of the Lehigh Valley saw torrential downpours Monday night, which led to flooding. Upper Saucon Township, Pennsylvania, was hit particularly hard. Mary Klingman has lived in Center Valley, a community within the township, for 25 years, and said she has never seen flooding to this degree.

The Center Valley area in Upper Saucon Township, where flooding was reported along Route 309, had a recorded 6 inches of rainfall, making it the highest rainfall total in the Lehigh Valley, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Other areas had about 1 or 2 inches of rain.
A large percentage of people still unaccounted for were probably visiting the area, Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly said.
