The Cleveland Browns are releasing safety Juan Thornhill. After signing the former Virginia safety and Super Bowl-winner with the Kansas City Chiefs to a three-year deal, the Browns are moving on from their starting free safety after just two seasons.

The Cleveland Browns have reportedly confirmed the release of S Juan Thornhill after a short 22-game career with the team. He was one of the Browns’ bigger free-agent signings of 2023 and was projected to fill a huge role in the secondary following John Johnson III’s previously underwhelming performance at free safety.
