It is a really big week for stargazers. There will be two meteor showers peaking simultaneously. The Alpha Capricornids and the Southern Delta Aquariids will peak late Tuesday night into the early hours of Wednesday.

The Southern Delta Aquariids are a meteor shower typically active for a few weeks starting from mid-July. The shower travels at a velocity of 25 miles per second, according to the American Meteor Society (AMS) and is best seen by those living further south.

The Southern Delta Aquarids and Alpha Capricornids are not the best showers of the summer, but they reach their peak on the same night.
