WWE and TNA entered into a multi-year partnership that would see talent crossover and compete on the opposite promotion. TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich appeared in the NXT crowd in January, and has been targetted by Cora Jade on TNA iMPACT!

Giulia retained her NXT Women's Championship at NXT Vengeance Day, defeating Bayley, Roxanne Perez, and Cora Jade in a four-way bout. The finish saw Perez hit Pop Rox on Bayley, but get pinned with a crucifix by Jade.

Masha Slamovich appeared on the January 14th episode of NXT, sitting in the crowd as Cora Jade made her entrance. Jade has since made multiple appearance on TNA iMPACT!, targetting Masha and the TNA Knockouts Championship.
