Seat belts are one of the most important safety features and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates they saved 14,955 lives in 2017 alone. Given that, it’s alarming when vehicles are being recalled because their seat belts could be damaged.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced the recall of more than 106,000 Toyota Tacoma vehicles over an issue where the rear brake hose may become damaged and leak brake fluid.

More than 225,000 vehicles have been recalled by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration over the past few weeks, including vehicles manufactured by auto giants Toyota, Lexus, and GMC. Reasons for the recalls include faulty safety features such as brakes and damaged seat belts.
