Bayern did have a chance through Kane but it took a superb effort from Olise to break the deadlock on the stroke of half-time. The attacking midfielder controlled a deep cross from Dayot Upamecano, cut in and hammered an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
Bayern Munich will have hoped to build an unassailable advantage when going 2-0 up just after halftime, but instead were forced to hang on as Celtic came up just short in a late comeback bid.
