NASHVILLE -- Jonathan Marchessault broke a tie in the third period to help the Nashville Predators defeat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday.
For the second straight season, the Colorado Avalanche were hot going into the midseason break and then stumbled its way through a road trip coming out of it.
The Colorado Avalanche (33-23-2) face off against Central Division foe St. Louis Blues (25-26-6) on the second of back-to-back games for both teams. The puck is scheduled to drop at 4:13 p.m. MT. The Avs lost 2-1 to the Nashville Predators on Friday night despite nearly doubling their opponent’s shots on goal.
