ARLINGTON, Texas — Arkansas finally got some production with runners in scoring position in the weekend finale against Michigan Sunday. The Razorbacks took down the Wolverines 8-6, behind a 4-for-4 day at the plate for shortstop Wehiwa Aloy, including his third homer of the season.

Wehiwa Aloy homered while going 4 for 4 and coming up just a triple short of hitting for the cycle as the No. 5 Razorbacks (6-1) held on late to beat Michigan 8-6 at the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series in Arlington, Texas.

The Hogs are on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament, currently holding a “last four in” spot, as a No. 11 seed, in Joe Lunardi of ESPN’s recent bracketology.

With Sunday’s win, the Razorbacks finished the weekend at Globe Life Field with a 2-1 record, their fourth winning record in as many trips to the home of the Texas Rangers. Sunday’s win also moved Arkansas’ overall record to 6-1 through the first seven games of the year,

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arkansas pitcher Gage Wood left Sunday’s game against Michigan with the Razorbacks' training staff. Team trainer Corey Wood, team orthopedic doctor Brad Reeves and pitching coach Matt Hobbs went to the mound to check on the junior right-hander after he threw a warmup pitch prior to the third inning.
