Former Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker died yesterday at the age of 81. Tucker had been ill for some time. Tucker served as Arkansas’ 43rd governor from 1992 to 1996. He was elected lieutenant governor in 1990 and was elevated to governor in 1992 with the election of Bill Clinton as president.
