Arizona has apologized after the school says some fans participated in an “unacceptable chant” following the basketball team’s 96-95 loss to BYU on Saturday night.

In a back-and-forth game, Arizona’s Caleb Love hit a shot and was fouled with the Wildcats down by a point and 12 seconds left in regulation, but officials ruled the foul occurred before Love’s shot attempt. So instead of trying to complete a 3-point play, Love got two free-throw attempts.

Arizona athletic director Desireé Reed-Francois said,"The chant is not reflective of who we are and should not have happened.”
