There has been an increase in killings of and attacks against Palestinians by settlers and security forces in the occupied West Bank in recent weeks, the United Nations human rights office said on Tuesday.

UN office reports 757 settler attacks since January, up 13 percent from 2024, as deaths since January near 1,000.

Relatives and Palestinian officials said 20-year-old Sayfollah Musallet, a U.S. citizen from Florida, was beaten to death by Israeli settlers last week.

Palestinians are more unified than ever, their collective identity and nationhood hardened by relentless resistance.

The attacks are part of a sharp uptick in settler violence since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023. In the West Bank alone, nearly 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces or settlers since then, according to United Nations figures.
