The Wayans family was honored with an induction into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame at the 56th NAACP Image Awards on Saturday, Feb. 22. Speaking to PEOPLE at the ceremony, Damon, 64, revealed how his parents would've reacted to the recognition.

The Wayans family members are officially NAACP Image Awards inductees. The legendary family of filmmakers and comedians were inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame on Saturday, where they gave a heartfelt speech to the audience, which included a shout-out to their brother Keenen Wayans.

The Kerry Washington-led "The Six Triple Eight," actor Keke Palmer and the entire Wayans family were the big winners at Saturday's 56th annual NAACP Image Awards show held in Pasadena, Calif.
