President Donald Trump is threatening the Commanders' NFL stadium deal if the team does not change its name back to the "Redskins," according to a recent post.

The Commanders say they are not paying attention to President Donald Trump's comments about the team's nickname and moving back to Washington.

From 1937 to 2019, the NFL franchise in Washington was known as the "Redskins," and if the Commanders don't switch back to that name, Trump said he "won't make a deal" for them to build a new stadium.

President Trump on Sunday publicly demanded that the Washington Commanders change the team name back to the Redskins— labeling them derisively the “Washington Whatever’s.”
