The original Power spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost, was an immediate sequel to Power. It focused on Ghost’s son James St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.), who followed in his dad’s drug-dealing footsteps. (Spoiler alert: Ghost was killed in Power, so yes, Ghost is a ghost). The sequel series ended in 2024 after four seasons.

“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” star MeKai Curtis will join the cast, reprising his role as Kanan Stark in the new prequel series. Casting for a young Ghost and Tommy, originally played by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora respectively, is yet to be announced.

A “Power” prequel exploring the origin story of Ghost and Tommy has received an 18-episode order at Starz. The spinoff, aptly titled “Power: Origins,” was announced to be in development in March 2024.
