A routine knee scan at Nassau Open MRI in Westbury, Long Island, turned fatal when Keith McAllister, 61, was pulled into the MRI machine by the force of its magnetic field. As The Independent reports,

Keith McAllister was caught in an MRI machine at Nassau Open MRI in Westbury, N.Y. on July 16, and died of his injuries the following day. In an emotional interview, his wife recalled him going 'limp' in her arms and watching the machine 'snatch him.

MRI safety requires removing jewelry, avoiding certain clothing, and informing doctors about implants and medical devices, as these items can pose health hazards.
