Federal buildings across the US have been ordered to shut off electric-vehicle chargers, according to a person familiar with the matter, the latest move to rescind pro-EV initiatives in President Donald Trump’s first months in office.

The General Services Administration, the agency that manages buildings owned by the federal government, is planning to shut down its entire network of

GSA will shut down all EV chargers and offload newly purchased EVs in a significant policy shift under the Trump administration.

The General Services Administration said that the chargers "were not mission critical," and will be turned off next week.

Electric vehicles are “not mission critical,” said the Trump administration, which has ordered all EV chargers located at federal buildings to be shut down nationwide and newly purchased EVs to be offloaded.
