The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline’s specialized services for LGBTQ+ youth have officially ended operations. The move was made official Thursday and comes after the Trump Administration cut its funding.

Callers to 988 used to be able to press 3 to reach counselors specially trained to help LGBTQ+ young people. The service had been reaching 70,000 people a month.
