Americans largely oppose recent efforts by Donald Trump’s administration to scale up its deportation program, a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS finds, with a rising majority saying the president has gone too far in carrying out deportations.

The CNN poll, conducted by SSRS and released on Wednesday, found that 61% of Americans oppose the GOP’s multitrillion-dollar spending bill that Trump signed into law earlier this month. Another 39% of Americans said they supported the bill, including 78% of Republicans and Republican-leaners.
