BRASILIA (Reuters) -Lawyers for former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that he did not violate a court-ordered social media ban, after the top judge accused him of breaching the order and demanded an explanation from his lawyers.

Jair Bolsonaro's lawyers are defending him against allegations of breaching a court-ordered social media ban. They argue for clarity on the ban's scope after a judge accused Bolsonaro of violating it through media interviews shared online.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced late Friday that the U.S. has revoked the visas of Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, several of his judicial allies, and their immediate family members in response to what he described as a “political witch hunt” targeting former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
