An Iowa family has filed a lawsuit against Roblox, alleging that their daughter was groomed on the platform before she was taken from her grandmother's home and later found in Jefferson County, Tennessee.

Roblox appointed its first head of parental advocacy back in May. Based in the UK, Roblox said the new role was designed "to strengthen support for families navigating digital safety and online wellbeing" and will be "building partnerships and tools to empower parents to help their children use digital platforms safely and responsibly."
