An American Airlines flight from New York to New Delhi, India, has landed safely in Rome after it was diverted due to a security issue, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

An American Airlines flight from New York to New Delhi landed safely in Rome on Sunday evening following a "suspected bomb threat". The flight carrying 199 passengers and 15 crew members was diverted to Rome following security concerns.

A flight from New York to New Delhi had to be diverted to Rome because of a bomb threat. "This is particularly true if Russia assesses that the US cannot or will not support the European NATO countries in a war with Russia."
