The arctic cold will set the stage for the winter storm and last for at least the next week. We are talking about 7 + days where temperatures will not climb above freezing. Generally, low temperatures will be in the single digits and teens and high temperatures will be in the teens and 20s.

Snow could be headed for the DMV for the last weekend in January.
A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for the region from 7 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday. This is for wind chill values that will drop to 5 to 10 degrees below zero. Throughout the day on Saturday wind chill values will remain in the single digits. This type of cold can be dangerous, so please dress appropriately.
