Venus Williams, 45, has returned to professional tennis, competing this week in the DC Open. Williams, who beat American Peyton Stearns 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the next round, becomes the oldest player to win a singles match on the WTA Tour since Martina Navratilova’s first-round Wimbledon victory in 2004 at the age of 47.
