The preliminary autopsy results for Melina Frattolin, the 9-year-old girl found dead in Ticonderoga, New York, after being reported missing over the weekend, have been released by New York State Police.
Two North Country communities are holding vigils Tuesday evening in memory of the 9-year-old girl that was found dead in Ticonderoga. The reported abduction of Melina Frattolin prompted an Amber Alert very early Sunday morning.

Police in Warren County issued an AMBER Alert early Sunday for a young girl that was missing. Sources have confirmed to NewsChannel 13's Mark Mulholland that the girl has been found dead. Police have not yet released any information about where the child was found dead.

Ticonderoga, NY (WRGB) — A man is charged with murder in connection with the death of his 9-year-old daughter, who was the subject of an AMBER Alert over the weekend. Authorities now believe, Melina Galanis Frattolin, was never truly missing, and that her father, Luciano Frattolin staged the entire disappearance to cover up her death.
