Play was stopped twice during the Wimbledon semifinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz because two fans felt unwell in the heat.

The two-time defending champion beat the American No. 5 seed in four sets on a sweltering afternoon on Centre Court.

Taylor Fritz’s mom, Kathy, is the great-granddaughter of David May, who founded the May Department Stores—better known today as Macy’s. She was a professional tennis player, reaching a ranking of no. 10 and winning seven titles.
