Spinal Tap II: The End Continues opens wide on Sept. 12. There will be a special Imax-only screening in select theaters on Sept. 10 followed by a Q&A with Reiner (as Marty DeBergi) interviewing the members of the band... drummer not included.

Bleecker Street released three photos of Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer in the sequel "Spinal Tap 2: The End Continues" on Wednesday.

Like the original This Is Spinal Tap, Reiner has said that the sequel would largely be improvised, but with a firm structure in place. The filmmaker also cited another key influence of the film, saying it would be modeled in part on Martin Scorsese’s classic documentary about the Band’s final concert, The Last Waltz.
