South Carolina coach Shane Beamer told Paul Finebaum a SEC title is “absolutely attainable” during SEC Media Days.
The matchup against South Carolina was Arnold's second appearance in an SEC game. He appeared in four games during his freshman season when Oklahoma was a member of the Big 12 and had appeared in just one SEC game during 2024, a game against Tennessee in which he was ultimately benched.
There has also been talk of expanding the SEC’s schedule from eight games to nine for 2026. Beamer said that with South Carolina’s annual rivalry game with Clemson, the Gamecocks in effect already play nine “conference-level” games per year.
